You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island Transportation Division, Aviation Logistics Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PUGET SOUND.
Duties
You will perform updates to and verify accuracy of data between automated supply information systems, to reflect receipts, stows, location changed, issues, and inventory counts, using keyboard data entry and/or handheld barcode equipment.
You will receive, review, and monitor incoming requisitions and verify availability of materials.
You will contact customers, other supply organizations, transportation services and vendors to obtain material information, and to expedite delivery of critical material to the customer.
You will perform causative research for material discrepancies, review transaction histories and receipt documents to determine the cause of discrepancies.
You will prepare, process, and submit requisitions, in the appropriate database, for the customer as needed to support various logistics evolutions.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Supply Technician specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying in-depth knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions governing customer service operations in order to conduct extensive and exhaustive research and to resolve material deficiencies or inventory discrepancies.
