Positions are TEMPORARY seasonal not to exceed 1039 hours work in a service year.

Duties
Temporary positions not-to-exceed 1039 regular hours in a service year may be terminated sooner or extended depending on management needs. The typical seasonal period is mid-May to mid-October but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding.
The primary purpose of the position is to perform laboring duties that require moderately heavy physical effort requiring the use of common hand tools and power equipment. In order to accomplish the laborer duties, the incumbent must on a regular and recurring basis also operate light duty motor vehicles weighing up to 10,000 pounds (such as pick-up trucks, panel trucks, flatbed trucks, etc.) to transport personnel, material or equipment to work sites located on the park.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
Ability to do the work of a Laborer (MVO) without more than normal supervision (SCREEN OUT)
Work Practices
Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment
Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc (other than blueprints).
Dexterity and safety
Screen-out Element: "Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision." For this position, laboring duties including operating heavy power equipment, such as single-function power lawn mowers with one or more cutting decks and mechanical controls, hand power equipment, such as chain saws, jackhammers, and a variety of types of common hand tools and light power tools (such as, shovels, rakes, lawn edging equipment, circular saws, electric drills, etc.), to maintain buildings, grounds, roads, and trails. I have also been responsible for operating light duty motor vehicles weighing up to 10,000 pounds (such as pick-up trucks, panel trucks, flatbed trucks, etc.) to safely transport personnel, materials, or equipment to work sites. Dig ditches and trenches with pick and shovel where soil is hard and compact; break up pavement or concrete; mix and pour concrete, asphalt, and hot / cold mix; fill and level holes in damaged roads. Load and unload supplies and materials from trucks, trailers, dollies, etc. Move furniture, paint picnic tables and signs, trim trees and shrubbery, picks up litter and clean fire pits. Perform basic equipment maintenance on mowers and other similar equipment including adjusting blades, cleaning, lubricating and oiling. Perform janitorial duties, such as cleaning sinks, toilets, sweeping and mopping floors. Lift and move objects weighing over 50 pounds, and in some cases, carrying 80 to 100 pounds (or more) with assistance. I am considered an expert and work with a degree of independence.
