THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a FINANCIAL INTERNAL CONTROL ANALYST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD2214P01 and is part of the TN 164th AW, Air National Guard.
This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 115 (Pyramid on the River Chapter).
Duties
As a FINANCIAL INTERNAL CONTROL ANALYST, GS-0501-11 (TITLE 32), you will provide administrative oversight of the Quality Assurance (QA) Program. Independently conducts various reviews to assess organizational performance. Review retrieval data provided by the local systems branch to screen for any unauthorized access level or dual access between the payable systems and the general accounting system. Facilitate monthly QA meetings and prepares minutes. Based on study results, determines need for refresher and supplementary training. Develops, schedules, and conducts training. Perform other duties as assigned.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
- May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments.

- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
- Applicant must complete a Baseline Pre-Placement Screening for General Schedule positions within 30 days of appointment.
- Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate Tricare Reserve Select eligibility.
- THIS FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
- This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
Qualifications
Military Grades: E-4 through E7
AFSC 65FX1, 6F051 or 6F071
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Skills in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately. Skill in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material. Skills in presenting formal training presentations and briefings; ability to prepare reports and presentation formats.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1 year at the next lower level or 36 months experience gained through military technical training schools are included in the one-year on-the-job experience. Must have fundamental working experiences with a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade; experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Experience performing supervise, and/or manage administrative fiscal, financial management, accounting or budgetary nature; provides analytical reasoning in the identification, analysis, and evaluation of financial issues and developing alternative solutions. Involves competencies in analysis, research, writing, and judgment typically gained through academic education or progressively responsible experiences. Requires knowledge and skill in the application of related laws, regulations, precedents, methods and techniques of budgeting. Competencies in self-management, resilience, teamwork, attention to details, creative thinking, integrity, honesty, and positive customer service skills. Work follows established methods and procedures. Uses practical knowledge of the operations, procedures, and policies of specific program areas or functional assignment; and typically learns to do the work through specialized experiences.
Education
Education Requirement: Completed undergraduate or graduate education, the awarded college degree should be in one of, or a combination of the following disciplines: accounting, business, finance, economics, math, statistics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organizational management.
