Construction Control Inspectors for the OEHE field offices at Bremerton, WA, to assist in the delivery of individual and community water supply, wastewater disposal and solid waste disposal facilities for Tribes and reports to the District Engineer onsite.

Duties

Provide, review, and inspect of on-going construction work and in accordance with plans and specifications. Assist project engineer in gathering field data and drafting site plans. Assist project engineer and/ or engineer technician in performing surveys for project designs, construction staking and as-builts.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. For positions requiring positive education requirements, or if you are using education to meet all or part of the qualification requirements, you MUST submit a copy of your transcripts or an itemized list of college courses which includes equivalent information from the transcript (course title, semester/quarter hours, and grade/degree earned) in your resume MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: GS-07 Grade Level: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: engineering and surveying technician performing work directly related to construction, such as: providing guidance to less experienced technicians, leading surveys, interpreting standard specifications and drawings, monitoring the job site to ensure a safe working environment and that facilities are being installed in accordance with contract plans and specifications, performing and leading field investigations, record searches, and drafting site layout drawings and other drawings, preparing documents, forms and cost estimates for procurement of work to be completed and generating construction reports, performed under the guidance of an engineer or senior engineering technician; OR Successfully completed 1 full year of graduate level education in a field of study directly related to the work of this position; OR Combination of graduate level education and specialized experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
