Duties
Manages all assigned servers and server resources, analyzing and defining requirements; analyzing workload; monitoring capacity and performance.
Resolves inquiries and problems concerning access, use, and availability of datacenter technologies.
Maintains liaison with counterparts at other commands/installations for troubleshooting assistance and researching available products and state-of-the-art technologies and advancements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- This position is INDEFINITE NTE 24 months, with possible extension up to 60 months.
- IAW DoD 8570.01-M you will have 6 months from date of hire to acquire the appropriate IAT, IAM or IASAE level certification designated by the position and/or supervisor. Failure to do so may result in termination.
- Must obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance level.
- Incumbent must complete appropriate training and obtain required certifications IAW DoDI 8140, DOD 8570.01M or applicable governing document(s) for Cyber workforce as an IA Technician Level.
- Position is designated as OM-ADM-001 within the Defense Cybersecurity Workforce as guided by NIST SP 800-181.
Qualifications
This a Career Ladder position for a GS-09/11. This advertisement is written for the GS-09 level. Your qualifications for the GS-09 and/or GS-11 will be determined by your resume and questionnaire responses. If you are hired at the GS-09 level, you will be required to remain at the GS-09 level for MINIMUM of 12 months, before you become ELIGIBLE to be non-competitively promoted to GS-11.

The policy to have a compatible MOS/AFSC has been suspended. When reinstated, you will have one year to meet the qualifications of this position or meet the requirements in the guidance set by NGB.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
GS09- Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training receiving, maintaining, and issuing data storage media for computer operations. Experience in scheduling the use of computer time for program processing. Experience collecting and sequentially staging input media with associated program instructions for processing. Experience in at least one programming language. Translating detailed logical steps developed by others into language codes that computers accept where this required understanding of procedures and limitations appropriate to use of a programming language. Experience interviewing subject-matter personnel to get facts regarding work processes and synthesizing the resulting data into charts showing information flow. Experience in analysis of the interrelationship of pertinent components of the system. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment. Experience scheduling the sequence of programs to be processed by computers where alternatives had to be weighed with a view to production efficiency. At least 12 months specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade.
GS11- At least 36 months experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls. Experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment. Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion. Must have at least 12 months specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade.
