In this position, you will work as a member of the Region 8, Response Division, Logistics Branch. The ideal candidate has knowledge of emergency response, experience working with and leading teams and has familiarity with writing and executing a logistics plan with an emphasis on crisis planning. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have some experience bringing equity to their assignments and working with impacts and strategies to address the rapidly changing climate we face.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: Experience in supporting, developing, and implementing logistics contingency plans, policies, and programs to ensure that customers will receive the resources required for support to disaster operations, AND Experience in identifying logistics impacts and resource requirements for programs. Identifies existing problems, or issues; formulates alternatives and coordinates to reach consensus when possible, AND Performs as a spokesperson at regional conferences, meetings, committees and working groups to promote and maintain a pro-active response posture. May participate as a team member in conducting program reviews.
