About the Position: Serves as training instructor and participates in course development. Responsible for both pre-instructional and instructional actions including overall maintenance and improvement of assigned course areas of advanced supply, property, and material management. Applies a variety of instructional techniques including lecture, seminar, conference and group discussion, programmed instruction, self-paced instruction, and multimedia instruction.

Duties

Conducts instruction on all areas of advanced supply, property, and material management, keeping abreast of continuing state of the art changes in system software programs, and evolving technology. Attends new training and major modification training on existing software. Updates existing systems data and overall course materials. Evaluates student achievement and diagnoses student learning difficulties for particular low and high ability students or groups and improves instruction through the application of innovative or advanced instructional techniques. Applies a variety of instructional techniques including lecture, seminar, conference and group discussion, programmed instruction, self-paced instruction, and multimedia instruction.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
