This position is located at US Mint,San Francisco Mint-MANUFACTURING DEPT/San Francisco. The purpose of a Heat Treater is to anneal, clean, dry, and screen coinage blanks.

Duties

As a HEAT TREATER, you will: Operate annealing equipment and auxiliary equipment to soften metal blanks in preparation for further processing. Inspect blanks for oxidation, overheating, hardness, dampness, and discoloration, and take appropriate action or notifies the supervisor. Assist the supervisor and work leader as necessary and assist in the training of new employees.
