This position is located in an Air National Guard (ANG) Wing Inspector General (IG) Office. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the focal point for interpreting, developing, and implementing Air Force inspection policy and wing-level long-range strategic plans. Provides direction and oversight of internal and external inspections, audits, evaluations, reviews, exercises, and analyses to determine unit effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications

To qualify at the GS-1801-12 grade level your resume must include relevant experience/education with beginning and ending dates reflecting the following: Specialized Experience Required At least 1-year equivalent to next lower grade level (GS-11) of experience with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position: Skill in conducting inspections, exercises and investigations where significant difficulties are encountered Ability to select, adapt, and apply investigation and negotiation techniques; interpret complex laws and regulations. Ability to select, adapt, and apply inspection techniques; interpret complex laws and regulations. Knowledge to develop different exercise scenarios based on Wing mission sets. Knowledge to develop new approaches, methods, or procedures in data gathering and analysis techniques. Ability to develop new approaches, methods, or procedures in data gathering and analysis techniques, recognizing and resolving discrepancies and/or inconsistencies among findings. Skill in obtaining and/or reconstructing missing documents and information. Ability to overcome obstacles to gather and interpret evidence; ability to recognize and resolve discrepancies and/or inconsistencies among findings.
