The position is located in the Division of Administration, Acquisitions Services Branch, of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, providing customers with innovative solutions and responsive business advisory support. Duties

Supports the development and implementation of strategies and processes to enable the Acquisition Services Branch (ASB) to meet its strategic-level mission and vision, operational goals/objectives and tactical-level initiatives designed to grow and mature the organization including specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-defined goals/metrics. Identifies, evaluates and addresses inefficiencies within ASB; develops/redesigns business processes to improve effectiveness, enhance workflows, and optimize performance; takes actions necessary to correct any identified problem areas. Works across FDIC and ASB to support portfolio-level initiatives to ensure proper sequencing/consolidation of contracting actions; to review and understand root causes for contract bridges and requests for non-competitive contracting actions; includes business process improvement and change management activities. Organizes, monitors and improves relationships with customers and stakeholders; involves systematically identifying customers and stakeholders; analyzing their needs and expectations; and planning and implementing various tasks to engage with them. Supports supplier management, industry liaison, forecasting, change management, communication, and other acquisition-related initiatives

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. To qualify for the CG-14: Applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS/CG-13 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is experience applying project and program management principles, methods, and practices to support the development and implementation of strategies for an acquisition program. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
