This position has been approved as an exception to the Dual Compensation policy. Regular full-time, part- time and intermittent current Appropriated and Non-appropriated Funds employees are eligible to apply for this position as well as the public.
This announcement is open and continuous; closing 31 March 2024 or until the position is filled. Bi-weekly reviews and lists sent to management starting 23 January 2024; additional lists may be sent at management request.
Duties
Sets up bars for operation, obtains cash bank and stocks service bar. Keeps bar and work area clean and sanitary.
Ensures an adequate stock level is maintained, sets up storeroom and work area to permit easy access to stock items.
Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons.
Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips.
Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para 2 to include a medical examination.
- Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Incumbent is required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Regularly lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Stands for prolonged periods
- Work is primarily indoors.
- Exposed to cuts and bruises.
Qualifications
Qualification Requirements:
1. Must meet state/local age requirements (at least 21 years of age) for the serving of alcohol.
2. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.
3. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
4. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
