This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Hawaii is a beautiful state. Hawaii has many outdoor activities all year round including surfing, fishing, and hiking.

Duties

Responsible for direct, on-site, management administration and implementation of projects, facilities, or complexes, in support of the housing management programs. Work as a member of a team administering management of barracks and dormitories. Determine requirements and maintains data for new or replacement furniture, appliances and equipment. Serve as member of a team administering on post privatization efforts for the Residential Communities Initiative (RCI) and supports Privatized Army Lodging (PAL) Perform change of occupancy pre-final, termination, and assignment inspections of units.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Installation may require incumbent to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450
  • Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license and any installation and/or DoD license required for the type of vehicle being driven.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required up to 10%.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting housing inspections for life, health, and safety housing requirements; maintain and manage a property management database and providing customer service to military members in obtaining housing. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
