As a Lead Building Management Specialist, you will perform a combination of team leader roles over a staff of Building Management Specialists and support specialists involved in the ongoing assessment of facilities operations and operational effectiveness.Location of Position: Public Buildings Service, Region 5, Chicago Service Center Operations Division.
We are currently filling three vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
These positions are located in the Public Buildings Service, Chicago Service Center Operations Division. This division directs, manages, and coordinates service execution relating to the delivery of real property management services. This office develops, directs, acquires and delivers services related to the operations, maintenance, and repair of Federal buildings and leased space (may include delegated buildings).

The GS-13 salary range starts at $103,409 per year. Salary is determined by the location for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is providing technical advice and guidance on building management operations and maintenance programs. This experience includes analyzing the effectiveness of facility operations, mechanical systems and equipment to provide recommendations for improvement and cost savings; evaluating and monitoring building operations and maintenance programs to ensure compliance with requirements and industry standards; reviewing and overseeing the maintenance and/or repair of large building mechanical systems and related building technologies; and identifying and providing recommendations for building operations policies and procedures.
