THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, Position Description Number PDD1654P01 and is part of the MA ANG 102nd IW, National Guard. This is a Non-Bargaining Unit position. The unit point of contact and contact phone for this position is: Lt. Col. Kenneth Fragano at 508-968-7601.

Duties

(1) Serves as a ISR unit crewmember in the SIGINT exploitation section, responsible for SIGINT operations and production affecting time critical targeting (TCT), direct threat warning, battle damage assessment, combat identification, combat search and rescue, multi-INT correlation, threat analysis, mapping, intelligence preparation of the battlespace, situation monitoring, and mission reporting. Provides SIGINT correlation of data from multiple ISR platforms and intelligence products. Requests dynamic sensor retasking in order to exploit time critical information not originally entered into the collection plan. Assesses the data and provides cross-cueing sensor/tip-offs to other platforms and exploitation sections improving multi-INT correlation. Updates Air Force ISR unit components and C4I nodes on SIGINT findings.

Requirements

  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • Favorable background check is required.
  • Applicants must maintain a TOP SECRET CLEARANCE and be eligible for SCI level clearance to apply for this position. Selectee will be required to pass a CI (counterintelligence) Scope Polygraph Exam.
  • Airmen unable to access mission, systems and/or facilities after 12 months of investigation/security screening will be considered for reclassification or separation.

Military Grades: ENL: SSgt (E5) - MSgt (E7) Compatible Military Assignments: AFSC: 1N472 *All applications will be considered regardless of Branch AFSC* AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Open to current members of the Massachusetts Air National Guard or those willing and eligible to transfer to the Massachusetts Air National Guard. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 36 months experience, education or training developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others. Experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of months/years. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
