The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the unit commander's key staff member responsible for managing and executing the unit's Air Force education and training program. The organizational location of this position is: 834 Cyberspace Operations Squadron (834 COS), 567th Cyberspace Operations Group (567 COG), 67th Cyberspace Wing (67 CW), JBSA Lackland AFB TX.

Duties

DUTY 1 - Develops, delivers, and evaluates Education and Training (E&T) programs. DUTY 2 - Administers E&T programs. DUTY 3 - Oversees E & T activities

Requirements

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • Must Obtain/Maintain Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

  • This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
  • The employee may be required to travel in military or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments within or outside CONUS.
  • May be required to work irregular duty hours or overtime and may include evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications

This is a GG-06 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-06 duties for the "Technician/Administrative Support" work category are at the "Entry/Development" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-06 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of the basic or commonly used, rules, procedures or operations requiring some previous training or experience to perform the basic skills to manage Air Force education and training programs. Knowledge of task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products. NOTE: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the Air Force training program as defined by the Air Force Enlisted Classification Directory (AFECD) for Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 3F200; prior experienc as an AFSC 3F251 or higher is highly desired. 2. Ability to organize and present education and training information for the unit's various AFSCs and civilian career fields to effectively enhance members' education and career progression. 3. Knowledge of training structure, programs, and work methods of organization for personnel training. 4. Skill to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately. 5. Ability to effectively utilize interviewing and counseling techniques, training techniques and instruction methods. 6. Ability to plan and organize management programs and functions of an organization. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
