Duties

Advise Senior Management on the organization’s logistics programs. Acts as logistics point of contact for Total Army Analysis (TAA) and Army Logistics Assessment. Formulates plans, policy, and procedures for the logistical operation of the Readiness Division (RD) and subordinate elements. Develops and implements logistical programs and ensures achievement of program objectives. Conducts entrance and exit interviews with operating officials of the study area. Briefs the DCSLOG and RD Commander and other management officials of higher and subordinate headquarters of study results. Maintains liaison at all levels of the RD to plan and promote coordination of efforts with respect to management program and for mutual exchange of information.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The incumbent may be required to work weekends at a minimum of once per quarter.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized which includes work that involves: interpreting regulations, directives and policies, preparing and analyzing reports and requests for assistance in resolving logistical problems, monitoring maintenance status of subordinate units, prepare and give briefings to Command Staff, and formulating budget estimates for logistical requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsFacilities & InfrastructureTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
