Duties

Serves as Computer Aided Designer within the Business Operations Directorate, Field Operations Branch, Business and Support Services Division (MR). Creates schematic design drawings of the retail sales floor for all Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) store types, new builds, remodels, expansions, and resets. Works in conjunction with construction and other departments in all phases of projects, from inception to completion.

Qualifications

BACHELOR¿S DEGREE in applicable field and 3 years¿ experience in Graphic Design, Computer Graphics 3D modeling OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR appropriate experience that demonstrates the ability to perform technical work in support of program analysis to evaluate and improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of the organization. Skill in oral and written communication to prepare and present recommendations and solutions regarding issues based on analysis and evaluation of proposals. Knowledge and experience with intermediate level computer skills is required (word processing, spreadsheets, database software, and computer drafting/architectural programs AutoCAD). Demonstrated proficiency in 3D Modeling and graphic design software such as Sketchup and 3D Max, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Knowledge and ability to apply Building Information Modeling (BIM) techniques to design projects as well as design trends.Eligible for incremental telework as determined by MR/MF policy.
