About the Position: Serve as Division Chief, provides broadly stated assignments, discusses management policies and objectives and delegates authority to accomplish studies and projects assigned. Position located with the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, Electronic Proving Ground (EPG), Mission Command and Network Test Directorate, Fort Huachuca, AZ.

Duties

Assign work, discusses management policies and objectives and delegates authority to accomplish studies and projects assigned. Manage the directorate with a great degree of professional independence to effectively plan, organize the work, and direct the staff. Keep the Division Chief advised on significant issues, highly controversial matters and critical problems. Lead the overall data analysis for multiple developmental or operational test projects, to include management of the associated planning, allocation of resources, and test design.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance through the duration of your employment.
  • The incumbent of this position must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must submit a Financial Disclosure Statement (OGE-450) upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
  • This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 25% of the time.
  • This position requires Level II certification in acquisition career field of Test and Evaluation within 60 months of entry into the position.
  • A one year supervisory probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position is a Critical Acquisition Position.
  • Must sign a written agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.

Basic Requirement: Degree: Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in operations research or bachelor's degree (or higher degree) with 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for the positions, you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience one year experience which includes experience performing operations research, and system's analysis and/or managing or directing a team of engineers, scientist, or operations research analyst. Experience working in the test and evaluation of military electronics systems, such as Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13/NH03).
