About the position: This position will be assigned to the Bandit Lanes on Ellsworth AFB. Applicants must have previous experience in the maintenance and repairing of bowling equipment. This position is considered regular full time. You are guaranteed 35 hours, however could work up to 40 hours. As a regular employee you are eligible to earn leave and other NAF benefits.

Duties

Installs, adjusts, repairs, overhauls, and regularly inspects bowling facility electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment to include automatic pinsetter, automatic ball returns, speed cradle stops, automatic score and foul units, automatic ball cleaners, hole bores, and lane maintenance machines. Conditions, maintains, and repairs bowling pins and lanes. Repairs cracks, chips, and splinters using wood and plastic lane stock, and sanding and recoating surfaces. Diagnoses malfunctioning equipment. Runs automatic pinsetter through complete cycle and inspects for pinsetting accuracy. Performs other mechanical and electrical work to bowling facility as time and capabilities permit. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have previous experience in the maintenance and repair of bowling equipment which provided a thorough knowledge of the mechanical an electrical principles and operating characteristics of bowling equipment and standard test equipment.Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally push or pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
