About the Position: This position is located at Tripler Army Medical Center in the Department of Behavioral Health.

Duties
Collaborate with mental health providers, other case managers, and other appropriate multidisciplinary team members to ensure appropriate utilization of mental health care resources.
Independently contact and maintain open communication with clients identified as high risk by clinical mental health providers.
Facilitate psycho-educational and/or support groups as needed.
Follow mental health administrative discharges during the process, maintaining communication with client and entering progress in the
database.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position requires Basic Life Support training certification from, or in accordance with, the American Heart Association and American Red Cross.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons in accordance with Army Regulation 40-562, Chapters 3 and 4.
- In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing medical and/or educational enrollment forms for accuracy; providing guidance and/or referrals on family assistance programs and using automated systems to record data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07)
OR
Education: One and a half years of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Child and Family Welfare, Counseling, Family and Community Services, Behavioral Science, Human Development, Sociology, and Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total semester hours minus 18) by 9. Add the two percentages. The total must equal at least 100% to qualify. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
