About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Cold Regions Research Engineer Lab (CRREL).
Duties
Works in the Management Integration Office coordinating Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory's acquisition program; performs tasks related to credit card purchases and work preparatory or auxiliary to the formal contracting process.
Procures a wide variety of general purpose and research specialized supplies and services in accordance Federal, Department of Defense and local purchasing regulations and guidelines.
Monitors all procurement related actions; tracks expenditures using Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS), P2, data warehouse and other electronic systems.
Records the obligation in the accounting system, review invoices for accuracy, and produce required receiving reports.
Provides guidance and administrative support to research staff to facilitate acquisitions through formal process.
Research vendors and identifies/obtains goods/services that meet customer specifications.
Monitors and tracks all procurement related actions.
Resolves purchasing and contractual discrepancies.

Experience required: To qualify at the GS-7 grade level or equivalency, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience which includes experience tracking organization expenditures to ensure adherence to purchasing regulations and policies; skill in using automated systems to analyze funding information; and experience providing responses to purchase inquiries.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
