This position is placed in the DCSA HCMO. Employee & Leader Development Division is seeking a HRS to serve as a Career Broadening Specialist. In this role, you will support employees seeking to acquire or expand their skills, knowledge, & understanding beyond their current specialization or function. The focus will be on overseeing career broadening initiatives, aimed at nurturing individual employee growth & insight through structured experiences both within & outside the DoD.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GG/GS-12 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
Formulate and manage a significant and complex portion of the agency's Career Broadening Program.
Interpret, implement, and make decisions based on the interpretation of regulations, principles, policies, rules, methods, and terminology related to Career Broadening & workforce development.
Independently plan, design, and carry out projects and assignments related to Career Broadening & workforce development.
Communicate both orally and in writing as applied to the preparation of plans, reports, charts, graphs, briefing slides, and related correspondence to effectively produce and defend studies and reports.
