This National Guard position is for a SUPV IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK SERVICES/CUSTSPT), Position Description Number D2174P01 and is part of the 177 COMM SQ, National Guard. The purpose of this position is to perform a full range of supervisory functions providing administrative control and technical direction and oversight for subordinate personnel within the Section.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Data processing functions Understand the stages required to automate a work process Work as a computer operator, computer assistant, or program analyst Work as a project manager SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience or training performing in the following areas?: Use of computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization. Planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls. Use of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment. Preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion. Education

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

An undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university is mandatory. The degree must be in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services with desired courses in Computer Engineering; Engineering Physics/Applied Physics; Industrial Engineering; Electromechanical Engineering; Electrical, Electronics and Communications; Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology; Cyber/Electronics Operations and Warfare; Mathematics and Computer Science; Accounting and Computer Science; Computational Science; and Management Information Systems; or Mathematics. A graduate degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services is optimum.

Information Assurance Certification
Must currently possess the CompTIA Security+ Certification or be willing to obtain it within one (1) year of employment.
