You will serve as a LEGAL ASSISTANT (OA) in the 36th Wing Office of the Staff Judge Advocate of NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY ANDERSEN GUAM.
Duties
You will provide legal assistance, administrative, and clerical support services for military and civilian attorneys and other legal specialists assigned to the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate.
You will receive and refer calls requiring a special legal response to the appropriate attorney, prepare case files upon receipt of incoming correspondence.
You will annotate files to designate receipt or dispatch of legal documents or correspondence; route to appropriate attorney; monitor suspense dates; and maintain file until action is complete.
You will prepare legal documentation for clients by assisting in the completion of forms and documents such as affidavits, bills of sale, promissory notes, contracts, or other similar legal documents and correspondence.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing legal support assistance to attorneys to include drafting legal actions, preparing legal documents; processing legal correspondence to convey decisions, requests or other information; maintaining files of investigations, courts martial, and legal reports.
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
