You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist in the Supplier Performance and Logistics Systems Department of Naval Sea Systems Command Logistics Center, Keyport Division, Naval Undersea Warfare Center Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania (NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA) located at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Maine.

Duties

You will gather, review, input, maintain, compile, synthesize, and analyze narrative and quantitative data. You will analyze data in an automated format on a variety of topics in order to prepare recurring and special reports. You will coordinate data input/transfer from various sources and formats. You will ensure that data collected provides historical as well as comprehensive view of the program or tasking supported. You will prepare analytical and interpretive reports and provide decision quality information. You will establish methodology and tools for monitoring deliverables provided by contractor resources. You will review and validate deliverables through inspection, observation, and inquiries for compliance with statements of work in terms of adequacy and timeliness.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing resolution to quality problems (e.g., developing new techniques and measures) for material quality assessment or supplier performance programs. Examples of Qualifying Experience may include gathering and analyzing information; identifying requirements, issues, options, alternatives; assessing performance of contractors supplying material and services.
