You will serve as a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST in the MATERIAL READINESS DEPARTMENT of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA in St. Juliens Creek, VA. Salary: GS-11: $73,572 - $95,641 GS-09: $60,808 - $79,050

Duties

You will establish warehouse management methods, procedures, and business practices to organize and locate assets. You will develop and review standard operating procedure guides and processes for customers and internal staff and executive management review. You will perform warehouse and administrative functions to facilitate Fleet logistics support. You will measure Operating Materials and Supplies status using a variety of locally developed metrics and determines effectiveness in achieving application goals and objectives. You will develop information sources and reports on visibility and accountability of assets and compliance with governing policy.

Requirements

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • Must be able to obtain a Forklift/MHE license and/or certification within 90 days of appointment and maintain thereafter every five years until age 60 and annually thereafter.
  • You will be required to possess a current valid United States driver license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing warehouse management operations and performing supply administrative functions to ensure accountability of an organization's assets. For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing assistance in the analyses of warehouse management operations and performing supply administrative functions to ensure accountability of an organization's assets. Education

The following education may be substituted for specialized experience at the GS-11:
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
An LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.

The following education may be substituted for specialized experience at the GS-09:
A master's or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
OR
LL.B. or J.D. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
