Duties
Responsible for the integration process to determine a new maintainer’s proficiency and corresponding maintainer designation.
Responsible for the safe execution of all Military Occupational Specialty specific flight line operations necessary to meet mission requirements for the applicable UAS assigned to the Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System Operating Facility.
Responsible for the preparation and management of forms and records required to manage maintenance, control the use, and report warranty actions and deficiencies on UAS and associated ground support equipment.
Provides technical assistance on all Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) maintenance matters to UAS operators, UAS maintenance crews or contractor support personnel.
Performs other duties as assigned.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard.

- May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate, to perform temporary duty assignments.
- This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration.

The policy to have a compatible MOS/AFSC has been suspended. When reinstated, you will have one year to meet the qualifications of this position or meet the requirements in the guidance set by NGB.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
General experience is 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4, that demonstrates the ability to:
Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions;
Plan and organize work; and
Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work. Experience in substantive and relevant secretarial, clerical, or other responsible work may be qualifying as long as it provided evidence of the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) necessary to perform the duties of the position to be filled. Experience of a general clerical nature (typing, filing, routine procedural processing, maintaining records, or other nonspecialized tasks) is not creditable.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training involving a thorough knowledge of product or range of products involved, the manufacturing methods and techniques, special processes, test, and performance requirements; and skill in developing plans and programs. Expert experience to give technical direction to otherwise competent workers. Experience determining operations when difficult and questionable phases of malfunctions are found. Experience which required significant and concrete work accomplishments (i.e., special projects, working groups, or detailing assignments) involving interpersonal contacts in a quality assurance or related field. Experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for the function required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved. Experience overseeing initial integration counseling in maintenance programs, maintenance environments, and aviation maintenance standardizations. Experience training and evaluating basic aviation or Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) maintenance and electronic fundamentals, and basic electronics training. Experience preparing and presenting instructions or developing instructional materials. Experience ensuring Foreign Object Debris (FOD) walk is conducted or overseeing FOD program or its operations. Experience, education, or training with safe execution of flight line operations. Experience, training, or education of site compliance with HAZMAT policies and procedures. Experience, education, or training reviewing work order requests and inspecting for accuracy and proper format to ensure completeness and audit capability. Must have at least 12 months of specialize equivalent experience to the next lower grade level.

Education
You may combine education with specialized experience to meet the length of experience requirement for GS-11. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level (GS-09 , which requires masters degree to qualify with education only) may be used to qualify for GS-11.
To receive credit for Education, you must provide transcripts or documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
