You will serve as a Supply Technician of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.
Duties
You will serve as the Quality Assurance manager for NAVSUP FLC Norfolk for their assigned location.
You will perform quality control investigations and surveys throughout the various areas of the division i.e. storage, receiving, packing, shipping, inventory control, etc.
You will use a variety of surveillance methods such as random sampling, 100% sampling, planned sampling, and customer complaints to evaluate performance.
You will formulate recommendations for corrective actions when unsatisfactory conditions are encountered, and initiates follow up checks to prevent recurrence
You will provide assistance through oral and written guidance both prior to and during data accumulation.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Supply Technician Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. applying a thorough knowledge of Supply and automated supply systems regulation policy, programs and procedures, sufficient to perform technical supply work performing assurance/quality control checks throughout the department. I have experience providing retail supply support operation, including the receipt, stowage/issue, packing and shipping, processing requisitions, quality assurance, equipment management, and oversight of supply processes and procedures. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1) Performing quality assurance duties and utilizing a variety of surveillance methods such as random sampling, 100% sampling, planned sampling, and customer complaints to evaluate performance; 2) Evaluates quality data, investigates customer complaints and prepares reports on performance, violations and deficiencies to determine cause and recommends resolutions; 3) Provide assistance to management by investigating techniques and skills to evaluate facts, conditions and trends; and prepare documented reports of findings relative to the performance of supply operations; 4) Apply knowledge of warehouse operations to include inventory management, receiving, issue, and storage to analyze effectiveness of department; 5) Maintains an open communication with customers, and vendors to correct or prevent errors or delays, and to address problems or other complications that arise during the process cycle.
