This position is located with JBLM MWR Business Operations Division Golf Course.

Duties
Direction and supervision of subordinate employees in all phases of course maintenance to include mowing, watering, fertilizing and maintaining trees, fairways, greens, roughs and all peripheral areas.
Performs administrative duties related to the maintenance of the golf course and equipment used on the course.
Orders and receives parts, equipment and materials for the course and equipment maintenance section.
Works under the supervision and training of the Golf Course Superintendent in maintenance, repair and overall improvement of the condition of the entire playing area of the course.
Requirements

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include Tier 1 Background Investigation.
- Must meet physical requirements to perform the duties of the position at the next lower level which include up to 50-pound lift and carry ability and hearing conservation program.
- Satisfactory completion of a physical examination is required for this position.
Qualifications
Candidates must me the following minimum qualifications:
1. Extensive work experience that demonstrated the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform work in all phases of golf course maintenance to include experience equivalent to the next lower level.
2. Experience in irrigation system repair, modification, and usage.
3. Working knowledge of the chemicals and equipment used to control fungi, insects, and weeds on the golf course.
4. Must be certified, or certifiable as pesticide applicator by the Department of Defense, in the categories required for the use of the Golf Course.
