About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency. It is located at the Martin Army Community Hospital located in Fort Moore, Georgia. The primary purpose is to perform a variety of clerical assistance duties in support of facility maintenance function which services a military medical center comprised of a main hospital, several outlying clinics, warehouses and other buildings. Perform finance and budget records maintenance, coordinate and schedule service requests.
Duties
Utilize office automation systems and software to enter maintenance request for departments within a medical treatment facility (MTF).
Schedule maintenance service request based upon priority of request.
File maintenance request per regulations and standards.
Generate monthly and yearly maintenance request to show cost of repairs for the MTF.
Provide updates to customers on status of maintenance repairs.
Assist customers in filling out maintenance request forms for maintenance repairs needed.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a favorable result from a National Agency Background Check.
- This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a valid Drivers License in order to operate a government vehicle.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with the accounting data for a department; filing official records within an organization; utilizing office automation software and systems to enter and retrieve data; and assisting with customers inquiries. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
