Duties

Works under the general supervision of the Kennel Manager, who furnishes general instructions and guidance. Incumbent performs daily recurring duties independently. Work performance is evaluated in terms of proper and timely accomplishment of assignments and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Shifts may include working, morning, nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
• Pre-employment physical is required.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Incumbent is required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.

Qualifications

Be physically able to lift and carry heavy items weighing over 70 pounds. Stand and walk for long periods of time. Be able to follow complex written instructions Be able to maintain animal care records.
