About the position: This position will be assigned to the Golf Course.
This is a regular part-time position with benefits.
Duties
This position has full range supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Assistant Golf Course Manager
- Incumbent has management responsibilities for rental areas, inventory warehouse, storage areas, and pro shop
- Responsible for maintenance and cleanliness of all areas within incumbent's area of responsibility
- Insures driving range hitting area is rotated daily and area is maintained in professional manner and free of debris
- Develops standards for care, cleaning, and proper rotation of all rental carts
- Assists customer in the selection of golf related equipment and sundry items
- Conducts monthly inventories of pro shop resale operation. In the absence of the Management Assistant, prepares consolidated daily cashier reports and banking deposits, insures all income is itemized under general ledger accounting codes, prepares monthly summary of income to supervisor, invoices customers for tournaments and special functions, maintains accurate accounts receivables and does follow-up on delinquent accounts, responsible for the collection of fees and charges, serves as primary funds custodian, insures proper receipt/accountability of cash, charge sales and income, controls and monitors all pre-numbered cash forms and reviews periodically for accountability
- Monitors, reviews, and verifies applications for annual green fees to determine eligibility/rates to be charged, assign numbers to annual accounts and disburses green fee cards
- Monitors point of sale inventory system in the pro shop and provides management with analytical data to determine financial forecasts
- Maintains golf handicap and golf tee time system, enters/deletes members accounts as necessary and prints data for daily tee times and monthly handicap data
- Is on site supervisor in absence of Manager and Assistant Manager and performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
- Must have one year experience dealing directly with financial accounts such as general ledgers, accounts receivable/payable
- Must have one year experience dealing with point of sale (computer) inventory controls
- Must have good working knowledge of golf course operations in financial matters and pro shop operations with understanding of golf resale items, and golf in general as a recreational sport
- Must have working computer knowledge
- Must present a professional image and ability to meet and greet general public
- Ability to act and resolve customer complaints/concerns/questions
- Successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) is required.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
