You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SECURITY Division at DETACHMENT GUAM of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will coordinate and administer the physical security aspects for all Detachment constructions projects in accordance with (IAW) local mandates and higher level directives. You will interpret and apply higher authority guidelines on all phases of physical security disciplines for local implementation. You will administer the Physical Security Program. You will conduct physical security surveys and inspections. You will formulate and recommend physical security plans, policies, and procedures.

• This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
• May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, developing, implementing and managing physical security programs. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing assistance in resolving conventional security problems, questions, or situations, and monitoring established security systems and programs; performing independent reviews and recommending actions involving security methods, techniques, and procedures. GS-11:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
