This National Guard position is for a EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST - Title 32, Position Description Number D2224P01 and is part of the WI 128 CES, Wisconsin Air National Guard.

Duties

As a EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST - Title 32, GS-0089-9, you will execute the Emergency Management (EM), Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear (CBRN), and Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) emergency response, logistics, and training programs. The position develops, manages, and executes the EM programs, ensuring all military, civilian and contract personnel are trained and equipped to support home station and worldwide contingency operations.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience that prepares the applicant to perform the duties of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training involving a thorough knowledge of product or range of products involved, the manufacturing methods and techniques, special processes, test and performance requirements; and skill in developing plans and programs. Experience possessed by an expert in the area of specialization able to give technical direction to otherwise competent workers. Experience determining operations when difficult and questionable phases of malfunctions are found. Experience which required significant and concrete work accomplishments (i.e. special projects, working groups, or detailing assignments) involving interpersonal contacts in a quality assurance or related field. Experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for the function required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
