This position is located with the U.S. Army Cadet Command 2nd Brigade, PROVIDENCE COLLEGE.
Duties
Provide sound advise on subject such as recruiting, retention, and incentives management.
Responsible for the development and execution of recruiting plans.
Responsible for gathering, identifying and analyzing recruiting program issues ensuring that programs function effectively and effectively make recommendations to correct deficient program issues.
Participate in recruiting activities in pre-selected areas in an effort to increase public awareness of the ROTC program.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Business travel required 30% of the time/ Employee required to attend C3P0 training 3rd week from EOD at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- May be required to perform additional duties as the Unit Prevention Leader (UPL), which requires travel to conduct testing.
Qualifications
This position is obligated. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights based on active military service, compensable injury or disability when fully recovered, return rights based on having served an overseas tour(s), and may also cover employees who have been on extended leave without pay under certain circumstances. During the obligation period, the position may be filled on a temporary or permanent basis. The selected employee is required to sign an agreement acknowledging that (s)he is aware of the obligation and accepts the fact that (s)he may be displaced under reduction in force procedures at a later time.
TEMPORARY APPOINTMENT INFORMATION:
Army employees who accept a time-limited appointments (to include employees with personal competitive status) will be separated at the end of the time-limited appointment date if the Not-to-Exceed (NTE) date is not extended. There are no return/reemployment rights to the position vacated prior to accepting the time-limited appointment. Permanent Army employees who accept such time-limited appointment opportunities will be expected to sign a statement of understanding to acknowledge the associated impacts to their permanent status.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves determining enrollment eligibility for prospective Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) cadets; utilizing pertinent laws and regulations to manage and award scholarship incentives; and executing marketing strategy operation orders specified by higher headquarters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-09.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
