You will serve as a PROTOCOL OFFICER in the Command division of COMNAVREGSW SDIEGO.

Duties

You will brief others on ceremony program and protocol. You will develop agendas and plans for an event in accordance with the focus of the event. You will coordinate and execute the visits of military and civilian distinguished visitors. You will identify customer protocol needs, long-term priorities, or partnership opportunities for an organization. You will develop supporting documentation to identify or justify changes or improvements to office management or administrative practices. You will carry out current programs and policies and develop recommended new policies.

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Coordinating and executing visits by Congressional Representatives, Defense and Service Department Secretary level civilian leadership, military Flag and General Officers and foreign military and civilian leadership; 2) Directing all activity of the Protocol Office in the execution of its mission; 3) Personally briefs and escorts distinguished visitors through each phase of the local itinerary; 4) Planning, coordinating and supporting visits to multiple commands on a single overarching visit; and 5) Developing, providing and executing detailed plans and itineraries for visits, receptions, parties, and other special events as required by the Commander and staff.
