About the Position: This position is located in the G3 Academics Office, Chief of Staff, Maneuver Support Center of Excellence, Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, bordering Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive east and Springfield is a 1-hour drive west of Fort Leonard Wood.

Duties

Serve as installation schools advisor on Army Training Requirements and Resources System authorization and Military Training Specific Allotment cost of training for Active Component. Coordinate and implement initiatives with HQ Department Army, Training and Doctrine Command, U. S. Army Forces Command, Human Resource Command and joint services on management and attendance criteria. Monitor and update school information requirements in the Army Training Requirements and Resource System to include approval/disapprovals of applications for military applicants to HQDA schools. Analyze and create various programming reports for historical data used to develop schedules. Serve as installation schools travel budget monitor performing a variety of budgetary functions in the formulation, execution and review of the Military Training Specific Allotment allocations and Military Training Service Support training classes. Assist in preparation and execution of installation Structure Manning Decision Review conference.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: utilizing Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) or similar program to manage and implement a training schedule; performing budgetary functions and monitoring travel orders generated in the Defense Travel System (DTS); and analyzing training requirements for military personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: PhD or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsData Collection and AnalysisEducation and Training Program AdministrationTechnical CompetenceTraining Program Evaluation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
