The position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, House Office Buildings, House Wellness Center women’s program. Responsible for administering programs in exercise, general nutrition, stress management, and other preventive health measures to Members of Congress. Provides activities to enhance the health, physical fitness and restorative needs of the Members, including Yoga, Pilates, and general strength and conditioning.
Duties
The tour of duty hours will be Monday-Thursday shift, 10:30am-7:00pm, with a Friday shift as early as 7:30am-4:00pm (negotiable) to accommodate Congress.

Qualifications
You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. It is available for your review on the OPM web site at OPM qualification standards Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidates for the GS-11 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as having:
(1) A significant accumulation of time in teaching YOGA;
(2) Experience in leading group exercise activities, including Studio Cycling or Mat Pilates;
(3) Experience coaching/personally training individuals in exercise activities (i.e. cardiovascular conditioning, strength conditioning, mobility, and balance);
(4) Experience teaching/training exercise to diverse populations, including women and seniors; and
(5) Experience designing and leading exercise programs for people of special clinical populations (i.e., those with conditions like hypertension, diabetes, obesity, or metabolic syndrome).
Education
There is no educational requirement for this position.
A Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related degree is desired.
