About the Position: This position is located in Falls Church, Virginia or San Antonio, Texas. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Serve as a pharmacist with clinical informatics, medication safety and pharmacovigilance expertise under the Defense Health Agency’s Patient Safety Program (PSP) Center for Data Integration (CDI). Apply medication expertise in the design, implementation and analysis of safety science related to Health Information Technology, drug and patient safety measures, adverse drug events, risk mitigation, and patient safety health outcomes. Serve as primary coordinator for clinical informatics- related studies. Provide subject matter expertise to support data analysis to PSP staff other scientist and leadership within the DHA, DoD, and outside government agencies as identified by Patient Safety Program leadership. Plan, develop, direct, coordinate and execute medication safety measures and pharmacovigilance science projects and risk mitigation. Work with large longitudinal medical-pharmacy claims and electronic health record medical databases.

Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
