This position is in the VA Indianapolis Medical Center's Optical Lab located in Indianapolis IN.
Duties
***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION***
Duties include but may not be limited to:
Receive inventory items, research product and price information and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Distribute incoming shipments and supplies
Ship out eyeglasses.
Keep tracking records of all shipments.
Perform various administrative functions.
Work Schedule: full time, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm
Qualifications
To apply for this position, you must have the following qualifications:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of general experience.
OR
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED): I have successfully complete 2 years of education above high school.
OR
COMBINATION of Experience and Education.

IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements:
Work is normally accomplished in an office setting. However, due to the nature of the work, may be called upon to assist in the receipt, storage and distribution of supplies primarily consisting of lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds. May be required to endure brief periods of heat, humidity, etc., as some warehouse areas are not air-conditioned.
