In this position, you will serve as an Emergency Management Specialist (Recovery) supporting Regional Offices, Region Ten, Recovery Division, Public Assistance Branch with the delivery of the Public Assistance Program. The ideal candidate has experience implementing FEMA Public Assistance directives, policies, regulations, procedures, and methods; data analysis/management, planning and project management; policy analysis; and an understanding of legal and scientific principles and concepts.

To qualify for thisEmergency Management Specialist (Recovery) position at the IC-09 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-07 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: Assisting in the application of organization practices and procedures related to recovery services; Collecting and/or tracking data and reports from a variety of sources; and Collaborating with stakeholders to collect, organize, and maintain information. OR master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related OR Combination of education and experience. To qualify for thisEmergency Management Specialist (Recovery) position at the IC-11 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: Participating in the development of written analyses and other briefing products related to recovery initiatives; Compiling, collecting, and analyzing data; and Providing technical assistance to stakeholders on recovery issues and/or services. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related OR Combination of education and experience. To qualify for thisEmergency Management Specialist (Recovery) position at the IC-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: Identifying and analyzing issues to develop recommendations for process improvements; Providing technical guidance related to disaster assistance programs and recovery services; and Interpreting laws, policies, and/or regulations in order to make programmatic determinations.
