Duties

May serve as the developmental position for the ARNG Food Program Manager responsible and accountable for oversight of the entire state ARNG Food Service program Maintains oversight of daily, weekly, monthly, and long-term system requirements, ARNG Readiness Center equipment modifications, and requirements to meet current workload demands. Provides technical liaison service to each ARNG unit, prime vendor, and other vendor companies. Provides subsistence support for troop movements, maneuvers, and emergency and contingency plan requirements, in addition to normal and daily support. Performs oversight of customer and stockage requirements determination process and proper pricing of subsistence. In accordance with provisions of the Army Regulations internal control systems, initiates, accomplishes and maintains vulnerability assessments, internal control reviews, and, as applicable, proponent checklists. Monitors State ARNG federally funded Readiness Centers and ARNG Dining Facilities to ensure they remain within authorized standards and that required reviews are conducted.

Requirements

  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • This position is INDEFINITE NTE 24 months, with possible extension up to 60 months, and permanent potential.

Qualifications

MILITARY GRADES: E4 through E7, O1 through O3, and WO1 through CW3 COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: **AS LISTED IN REMARKS** The policy to have a compatible MOS/AFSC has been suspended. When reinstated, you will have one year to meet the qualifications of this position or meet the requirements in the guidance set by NGB. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training involving detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience integrating actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to meet program goals. Experience interpreting and applying regulations, laws or practices. Experience planning and organizing work assignments. 12 months specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Education

You may combine education with specialized experience to meet the length of experience requirement for GS-09. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at GS-09. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
