As a Support Services Specialist you will: serves as a Support Services Specialist. verification program management (PIV), administrative program operations, government vehicle fleet management, serves as the primary PIV Card Issuance Manager under the supervision of the Supervisory Support Services Specialist.
Duties
MAJOR DUTIES:
This position is located in the Support Services Division (SSD) of the Regional Office and serves as the Senior Support Services Specialist. The incumbent is fully experienced and serves as the submit matter expert for internal and external customers on operational matters and on exercising program responsibility in space and facilities management, property management, personal identification verification program management (PIV), administrative program operations, government vehicle fleet management, serves as the primary PIV Card Issuance Manager under the supervision of the Supervisory Support Services Specialist.
Evaluates and provides input for efficient utilization of space to include floor plans and design, ensuring proper cubicle design and required infrastructure.
Provides property management services including facilities, trouble calls, analyzing equipment requirements, remedying equipment repairs, conducting inventories, and disposing of equipment and furniture.
Oversees the fleet management program by coordinating day-to-day functions by documenting and authorizing operators, scheduling utilization and maintenance, and submitting required reports.
Responsible for the administration of the Personal Identify Verification (PIV) system, ensures proper issuance of PIV cards and manages administration roles. Acts as the PIV liaison as required.
Provide forms and publication services which consists of printing, reproduction and distribution of forms. Ensures equipment requirements are met for all forms and publications activities.
Evaluates and provides input into security plans and reports. Coordinates building security with appropriate authorities. Produces all reports associated with security.
Evaluates and provides input and recommendations for procedural improvements in all administrative functional areas.
Coordinates with acquisition personnel in acquiring office supplies and equipment, stores and distributes office supplies and equipment, and conducting inventories.
Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
Participates in the stations safety program by providing input, tracking and implementation of safety related items.

To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-11) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as work you must possess one year (52 weeks of full time) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 in the Federal service determining equipment, facility, or service deficiencies to identify appropriate resolutions; forecasting equipment usage rates to establish initial repair or replacement factors; and preparing budget inputs based on plans for new construction, facility alteration projects, or equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement actions.
Specialized experience must document an expert level of analytical, technical and customer service skills and ability to independently make recommendations based on research, initiative and sound judgment in all instances.
Education
There is no educational substitution for the GS12 level.
