You will serve as a TRAINING TECHNICIAN in the MANPOWER AND PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT of NCTAMS LANT DET JAX. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: DE-12245735-24-NRP. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement.

Duties

You will initiate, implement, evaluate/review, and administer the Detachment training program which includes participation in the development of Detachment directives that contain training requirements. You will conduct Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Government Mandatory Training (GMT) and some required All Hands training to meet training requirements for the Detachment. You will schedule and organize Planning Board for Training (PBFT) meetings with management officials to discuss ideas and to promote management acceptance and cooperation in supporting training programs and professional development. You will schedule pre-employment and random drug testing for members of the drug testing pool. You will serve as one of two cardholders in the Detachment for the Government Purchase Card Program (GPCP) and prepare purchase and contract payment packages at or below the micro-purchase threshold.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job off er or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training at the Department of the Navy Drug Free Workplace Program Coordinator training site for drug program coordinator certification and refresher training, when required.
  • You will be required to maintain requirements of the Government Purchase Card Program (GPCP), to include initial and refresher training.

Qualifications

Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: *Experience organizing and maintaining orderly files and tickler systems in order to produce and maintain the Long-Range Training Plan. *Experience making oral and written reports and presentations and preparing graphs and charts in order to meet regular reporting requirements. *Experience operating various computer applications and having the ability to use computer programs and equipment while conducting training and maintaining records. *Experience analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of training to be able to report to management on effective training sources. This position is within the Work Category TECHNICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT at FULL PERFORMANCE Work Level II, Series and Grade GG-1702-09.
