Duties
Prepare designs and specifications for water treatment projects.
Develop technical drawings for projects to include preliminary and final layouts, as well as calculations.
Determine data collection and analysis for daily operations and projects.
Conduct preliminary site investigations to obtain field data on proposed water treatment improvement and advancement projects.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-07 level, you must meet one of the following qualification requirements:
A. Have completed one full year of graduate level education in a field of study directly related to the duties of this position and includes courses in engineering technology, industrial technology, or construction;
OR
B. You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: Supporting engineering projects by interpreting basic mechanical drawings; collecting water test samples; assisting in preventative maintenance system inspections by reviewing related equipment literature to provide technical insight; collecting data for site inspections; and preparing preliminary drafts, graphs, tables, and minor detail designs.

C. Have a combination of education as described in B and specialized experience as described in A that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
To qualify at the GS-08 level, you must meet one of the following qualification requirements:
A. Have completed two (2) full years of graduate education leading to a master's degree in a field of study directly related to the duties of this position and includes courses in engineering technology, industrial technology, or construction;
OR
B. ??????? You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: inspecting facilities to evaluate use patterns and to identify maintenance or restoration requirements; analyzing test water samples, interpreting test results, and recommending corrective actions; inspecting chemicals, materials, and equipment delivered to ensure they meet specifications; and ensuring chemicals are handled in accordance with established plans, and safety regulations.???????
