The incumbent will serve as a Lead Physical Security Specialist in the Security Programs staff located in the Criminal Division, Office of Administration. The Security Programs staff is responsible for personnel security, physical security, information security, and emergency management programs in the Criminal Division.
Duties
As a Lead Physical Security Specialist, you will be:
Reviewing and developing plans and designing facilities to ensure appropriate physical/information security.
Inspecting existing and new facilities on an announced or unannounced basis to ensure that adequate security countermeasures, safeguards and controls are implemented and in compliance.
Developing and recommending security policy, planning, procedures and directives for the Division.
Serving as a subject matter expert for SCIF and secure area/room construction. Ensures SCIFs comply with all applicable construction and physical requirements, standards, and regulations as mandated from JMD or other oversight agencies.
Acting as a program manager for a physical access control system (PACS) and/or PIV/CAC card program.
Assisting in evaluating and developing classification management policies and implementing procedures for originators, recipients, and custodians of National Security Information (NSI), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)

Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-13: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-12 federal grade level. This experience must include duties such as: reviewing and developing plans and designing facilities to ensure appropriate security and counter-terrorism measures are included; inspecting new and existing facilities to ensure adequate security countermeasures are implemented; and developing classification management policies and implementing procedures, control systems, and methods for originators, recipients, and custodians of Classified National Security Information (CNSI), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
Time-in-Grade: Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements for consideration by the closing date of this announcement.
