Position is within the FAA, Security and Hazardous Materials (ASH-1), Office of National Security Programs and Incident Response (AXE-1), Law Enforcement Assistance Program (LEAP) Division, AXE-800.

Duties

The incumbent performs multiple, varying, and complex assignments under the limited direction of the manager. Applies experience and advanced knowledge of the Law Enforcement Assistance Program (LEAP) to accomplish assignments. Typical duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
  • Travel Required: 50% (Domestic and International)

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-H, FG/GS-12 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as:-Experience conducting and reviewing regulatory investigations by interpreting and identifying regulatory violations, analyzing pertinent data, and ensuring sound recommendations for enforcement action.AND-Experience developing contacts, building relationships, providing outreach and assistance in a regulatory environment, including participation in task forces or working groups with multiple law enforcement agencies.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
