Duties

Drives passenger buses regardless of gross vehicle weight and various types of trucks such as platform trucks, van trucks, stake trucks, dump trucks, and trash removal trucks weighing from 26,000 to 32,000 pounds on long or short hauls. Drives on the installation, public roads, and city streets in all types of traffic conditions Assists with loading and unloading cargo and materials. Ensures vehicle is not loaded beyond the rated capacity by checking cargo papers and by visual observation. Completes trip tickets and preventive maintenance service records. Fills out driver's accident report in case of accident. Performs driver's maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.

• Required to complete a physical examination.
• Possession of a valid state driver's license or CDL to operate a government vehicle with a capacity for transporting 24 passengers is required.
• This position is covered by the DA Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program. Incumbent is required to sign DA Form 5019-R.
• This position has critical safety or security responsibilities and as such has been designated as a testing designated position (TDP).
• As a condition of employment, incumbent of a TDP is subject to a random drug test that occurs without suspicion that a particular individual is using illegal drugs.

Requires a valid state driver's license to operate a 15 passenger vehicle, OR Requires a commercial drivers license (CDL) with no restrictions to operate a 24 passenger vehicle.
