Duties
Drives passenger buses regardless of gross vehicle weight and various types of trucks such as platform trucks, van trucks, stake trucks, dump trucks, and trash removal trucks weighing from 26,000 to 32,000 pounds on long or short hauls.
Drives on the installation, public roads, and city streets in all types of traffic conditions
Assists with loading and unloading cargo and materials. Ensures vehicle is not loaded beyond the rated capacity by checking cargo papers and by visual observation.
Completes trip tickets and preventive maintenance service records. Fills out driver's accident report in case of accident. Performs driver's maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.
Requirements

- A one year probationary period may be required
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

- Position, duty hours, location and/or activity are subject to change based on mission requirements.
- Work hours may involve weekend, weekdays, holidays and night duty.
- All required pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Required to complete a physical examination.
- Possession of a valid state driver's license or CDL to operate a government vehicle with a capacity for transporting 24 passengers is required.
- This position is covered by the DA Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program. Incumbent is required to sign DA Form 5019-R.
- This position has critical safety or security responsibilities and as such has been designated as a testing designated position (TDP).
- As a condition of employment, incumbent of a TDP is subject to a random drug test that occurs without suspicion that a particular individual is using illegal drugs.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
Ability to communicate in English at a level to assure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner.
Demonstrated skills in successfully operating standard tools.
Experience in accomplishing the types of duties described in this job.
Requires a valid state driver's license to operate a 15 passenger vehicle, OR
Requires a commercial drivers license (CDL) with no restrictions to operate a 24 passenger vehicle.
Highly Preferred Criteria:
Willing and able to work a rotating schedule to include days, nights, weekends and holidays
