You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) in the INFORMATION MANAGEMENT DIVISION, ACQUISTION & READINESS ASSESSMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.
Duties
You will be responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, performance tuning, provisioning, and recovery procedures for multiple project systems
You will monitor configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of applications in GovCloud environments.
You will develop procedures, programs and documentation for IT system, backup and restoration of operating systems, data replication across cloud data centers, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts.
You will develop and coordinate project directions and schedules to maximize benefits and minimize impacts on the customer organizations.
You will conduct risk and vulnerability assessment for AR systems and perform system migrations as required.
You will participate in network and system design to ensure implementation of appropriate system security policies.
You will perform Security Technology Implementation Guide (STIG) and Information Assurance (IA) validation as required and apply required IA and security requirements and other required operating system and software updates.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area System Administrator level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
For the NT-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying concepts, methods and policies of information system management to develop, implement, and maintain server and networking systems for an organization.
For the NT-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing network and IT standards and protocols to configure, install and troubleshoot network systems for an organization.

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.
OR
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.
