Duties
The selectee serves as a Budget Analyst responsible for developing, presenting and justifying a multi-million-dollar internal operating budget based on directives received from Headquarters. The incumbent works with Division Chiefs to obtain data regarding proposed budgets and then prepares a budget, which reflects the estimated costs of requested items required for program operation and mission accomplishment.Being a CG civilian makes you a valuable member of the CG team. Qualifications
TO Qualify for the GS-12 - Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 grade level (in the federal sector). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Assists the Budget Officer in apportionment, distribution, and execution of the O&S annual budget to 103 field and staff elements to accomplish the Coast Guard missions within the district; Performs a wide variety of administrative and analytical duties in the development, presentation, prioritization, formulation, submission, and execution of the financial management portion of the district and sub-unit budgets; Accesses and provides historical and current cost information for use in budget development.
